Free books - free thought

Despite the fact that much evil stupidity pervades the web, there is a lot of good stuff out there as well. Here's a random assortment of free books (in PDF form) you may or may not find interesting.

Copyright and Intellectual Property
Lessig and Boyle may well prove to be some of the most important writers about the Internet Age around.

Tech/Web books
Web and computer books seem to have a shorter shelf-life than fish. Electronic books make lots of sense.

Literature
We all have to relax a little, right?
Humor
Of course, you've got to have a PDF reader to view any of these. Get one from Adobe or any of these fine alternatives.

Comments

The humor selections look like some real knee-slappers.

If I had to read one and just one Lessig title, which should it be?

WS - If I had to recommend only one of Lessig's books, it would be Free Culture. It pretty much cuts to the heart of the matter, although The Future of Ideas is a close second.

Having once been in the business of creating what could be described as Intellectual Property once, you'd think I would be on the other side of this issue, but for me being an artist was always more about spreading ideas than making objects to sell.

Probably why I manage computer systems now.
